My top ten ‘Accused of'
1.
Accused of lying, at the age of three when I was in isolation hospital with pneumonia, I told the nurse that my mummy and daddy were looking thru the window and blowing kisses, it was a ground floor ward and I wanted to go and see them. They had been there.
2.
Accused of firing my catapult at the local church clock face, the cops came to my school to interview me, they believed me when I denied it, but I think I know who did it.
3.
Accused of stealing money from the poor box, in the local church reception, the cops came to my house and interviewed me with my mum an dad, cops again believed me and not the church warden who was a pathological liar.
4.
Accused of stealing nearly empty soda syphon bottles from the back of the local pup and squirting them at my mates, was part of the gang that squirted, but did not steal the bottles.
5.
Accused, of walking on the grass in the church cemetery, true, cops again came to my school, I admitted it, but know action was taken.
6.
Accused of being a potential burglar, after spoted on a garage roof having fun trespassing with my mate Arthur, cops interviewed me at home with my parents, no further action taken.
7.
Accused of throwing stones at passing cars, taken to my home by an angry neighbour, my parents believed me, when I said it was only lumps of mud.
8.
Accused by a cop at 7am when I was on my paper round of being too young to have a paper round and had to go and get proof that I was 12.
9.
Perhaps the one that made me really angry. Accused of tuneless whistling again on my paper round by a local Tory councillor.
10.
Accused of shoplifting in a East Berlin department store around 1986 and being body searched. I think I just looked different to other customers.
